Key Takeaways:

DoorDash has partnered with Flytrex to launch a new drone food delivery service in the Dallas-Fort Worth suburbs of Frisco and Little Elm, serving approximately 100,000 residents and establishing DFW as the largest drone delivery hotspot in the U.S.
Customers can order food directly through the DoorDash app for drone delivery to their backyards via tether, building on a successful pilot program and DoorDash's existing drone partnerships.
Future expansion of drone delivery nationwide is anticipated, driven by pending FAA regulations to allow Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations and executive orders supporting U.S. drone manufacturing and security.

On Thursday, DoorDash and Israeli provider Flytrex announced the service is available to about 100,000 residents in the Dallas-Fort Worth suburbs of Frisco and Little Elm. Customers can order food from dozens of local and national restaurants directly through the DoorDash app, delivered straight to their backyard via drone in minutes. With industry leader Zipline and Alphabet’s Wing also flying in DFW, the area is the nation’s largest drone delivery hotspot.
