Garmin has launched its first aircraft carbon monoxide (CO) detector, the remote-mount GCO 14 unit, designed to seamlessly integrate with select Garmin avionics.
The GCO 14 allows pilots to detect, monitor, and receive both aural and visual alerts for dangerous CO levels, an odorless and tasteless gas that can incapacitate pilots.
Set to be available in Q2 2025 with a list price of $549, the GCO 14 is FAA TSO-C48A certified and features a sensor life of up to 10 years.
