Airbus Helicopters and Metro Aviation have signed a deal for up to 36 H140 helicopters.
Metro Aviation placed an initial order for 12 H140s, with options for an additional 24, to be used for emergency medical services (EMS).
The H140 is highlighted for its EMS-suitable features, including a high T-shaped tail boom, large clamshell doors, and rear-loading capabilities for intensive care stretchers.
The new H140 helicopters are expected to enter service in 2028.
