U.S. deliveries of Tecnam Aircraft’s P-Mentor single-engine aircraft have begun, with the first units going to Kilo Charlie Aviation in Kansas, less than a month after receiving full FAA certification.
Kilo Charlie Aviation adopted the P-Mentor to replace its older training fleet, citing the new aircraft's superior efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness as key factors to meet growing student demand and reduce operational costs.
The P-Mentor is designed for modern flight training, featuring a FADEC-equipped Rotax engine, Garmin G3X avionics, a higher useful load (628 lbs) than LSA, a variable pitch propeller, and simulated retractable landing gear, all while boasting an average operating cost of $65 per hour.

Last month the IFR certified Part 23 design built in Capua, Italy, achieved certification from the FAA.
