Key Takeaways:

  • The National Championship Air Races (NCAR) are relocating from Reno, Nevada, to Roswell, New Mexico, starting in 2025.
  • The move was necessitated by regional growth and safety concerns at Reno-Stead Airport, which could no longer accommodate the event.
  • The races will continue their traditional format, including seven classes of racing, static displays, and military demonstrations, at the Roswell Air Center.
  • Despite the relocation of the air races, Reno will still host other aviation events, such as the Reno Air Show.
