At approximately 18:00 mountain time, a Cessna A185F departed McCall, Idaho, for a planned 45-minute flight to Cottonwood. The airplane was reported missing by a family member, and the airplanes wreckage was located the following day approximately 3 miles south-southwest of Lucile. The pilot was killed. The aircraft crashed on the west slope of the river canyon where it makes a 90-degree right turn, from north to east.
