Key Takeaways:

  • Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has become the launch customer for the new Airbus A350F freighter, signing a letter of intent for seven freighters as part of a larger order for 111 new Airbus aircraft.
  • The multibillion-dollar deal makes ALC one of Airbus’s largest customers and includes a diverse range of aircraft, such as A220-300s, A321neos, A321XLRs, and A330neos.
  • This strategic order for the fuel-efficient and emissions-compliant A350F positions Airbus to gain market share in the global freight market, which Boeing has historically dominated, especially amid increased demand for air cargo capacity.
