Private aviation group Vista, the parent company of VistaJet, is expanding its fleet.
The company said Wednesday that it has ordered 40 Challenger 3500 business jets from Bombardier, with options for up to 120 additional aircraft.
The purchase will expand capacity for Vista’s membership after another year of “double-digit” growth in its subscription-based program product, officials said.
Deliveries will begin “immediately” this year and continue for up to 10 years to align fleet growth with utilization.
“This agreement is about leadership, preparedness, and client experience,” Vista founder and chairman Thomas Flohr said in a news release. “We are continuing to build the fleet our members will rely on over the next decade, not reacting to short-term cycles, but investing with clarity, scale, and discipline.”
Vista said the Challenger 3500 plays a central role in its fleet strategy and praised the jet’s range, reliability, and technologically advanced cabin.
“This significant order is a testament to how well this aircraft serves our customers, delivering the perfect balance of cutting-edge technology, exceptional comfort, and proven value,” Bombardier president and CEO Éric Martel said in a statement. “Vista has been a valued Bombardier customer since they began operating. We are proud that our relationship will further deepen through this significant order and are excited for Vista’s teams and clients to benefit from everything the Challenger 3500 aircraft has to offer.”
