Thrust Flight has been awarded a five-year contract to provide fixed-wing pilot training for members of the Phoenix Police Department (PPD), marking its first partnership with a municipal law enforcement agency.
The accelerated program, based at Thrust Flight's Mesa campus, will train approximately two PPD officers per certificate annually, covering ratings from Private Pilot (PPL) through Certified Flight Instructor-Instrument (CFII).
This training aims to equip PPD pilots to support patrol operations and public safety, with selected officers potentially gaining further qualifications for firefighting and search and rescue missions.
Thrust Flight, based at Falcon Field Airport (KFFZ) in Arizona, has picked up a contract to provide fixed-wing pilot training for members of the Phoenix Police Department.
According to school officials, this is the first time Thrust Flight, a noted accelerated training program, has worked with a municipal law enforcement agency. Training began on March 1.
