Thrust Flight has secured a five-year contract to provide fixed-wing pilot training for members of the Phoenix Police Department, marking its first partnership with a municipal law enforcement agency.
The accelerated Part 141 program will train approximately two officers annually for various ratings, including Private Pilot, Commercial Pilot, Instrument Rating, and Certified Flight Instructor.
The training aims to support patrol operations and public safety through aerial assistance, with trained pilots potentially expanding into roles such as firefighting support and search and rescue.
Thrust Flight, based at Falcon Field Airport (KFFZ) in Arizona, has picked up a contract to provide fixed-wing pilot training for members of the Phoenix Police Department.
According to school officials, this is the first time Thrust Flight, a noted accelerated training program, has worked with a municipal law enforcement agency. Training began on March 1.
