Today’s Top Pick is a 2007 Aviat A-1B Husky.

For pilots looking for a go-anywhere, do-anything taildragger with robust performance and low total time, this Husky delivers. As the final production year of the A-1B model, it brings together classic backcountry utility with advanced systems and a level of refinement not always found in the bush plane category.

This Husky has just 450 hours since new and has been flown regularly while also kept in a hangar. It features the 2200-pound gross takeoff weight kit, bringing it in line with A-1C performance numbers. That higher useful load allows for full fuel, two 200-pound occupants, and more than 75 pounds of gear split between baggage and aft stowage compartments.

Power comes from a 180 hp Lycoming O-360-A1P engine turning an 80-inch two-blade Hartzell propeller. The aircraft is equipped with tundra tires, lifting rings for float installations, and upswept wingtips. A Gate 9 oil cooler valve, Reiff engine preheater, and B&C oil filter add durability and practicality in colder climates. LED lighting, including pulsing landing lights and Wig-Wag functionality, boosts visibility both in the pattern and on the ground.

The panel is IFR certified and will be delivered with a fresh signoff. Avionics include a Garmin GFC500 three-axis autopilot, G5 electronic attitude indicator, Garmin 530 navigator, Garmin 660 GPS with weather and traffic display, and a GDL39 ADS-B In receiver. For ADS-B Out, the aircraft uses a uAvionix SkyBeacon. Other equipment includes a Garmin 327 transponder, PS Engineering PMA450B audio panel, vacuum-driven directional gyro, and a VM1000 engine monitor with fuel totalizer.

Inside, the black fabric seats are fitted with Oregon Aero foam and paired with varnished teak flooring. Overhead night lighting, post lights, and a clean, organized layout make the cockpit functional for both day VFR and IFR operations. The Munson sliding window and 24-inch Husky tail graphic add flair to an already eye-catching design.

Finished in a distinctive white, blue, and gold paint scheme, this Husky has been well cared for and shows it. Offered at $275,000, it is based in Oxford, Connecticut, and ready for immediate delivery with inspections current.
