The search for a missing rare 1934 De Havilland DH84 Dragon 2 biplane ended with the discovery of its wreckage in the Sunshine Coast hinterland of Australia.
All six people on board, including the 68-year-old pilot Desmond Porter and five passengers, perished in the crash.
The VFR-only aircraft went missing after giving scenic rides, with a distress call reported and its emergency beacon activating briefly amidst heavy cloud cover.
Notably, the pilot had previously survived a fatal crash of another Dragon 2 aircraft as a child, which killed his father and brother.
