The Commemorative Air Force is putting on the inaugural CAF World War II Air Expo with an impressive lineup of World War II airplanes October 3 to 5 at its new headquarters at the Dallas Executive Airport in Texas. In addition to the static display of airplanes, the non-profit organization will provide rides in several warbirds and is putting on an educational event for students.
Airplanes scheduled to be on site include Fifi, currently the only airworthy B-29 Superfortress in the world though another one named Doc may fly soon, the Tuskegee Airmen squadron of North American P-51 Mustangs, SB2C Helldiver, B-24 Liberator, B-17 Flying Fortress, A-26 Invader and several others. Rides in all of these historical airplanes and others will be available for a cost.
