In a press conference at the Sun ‘n Fun International Fly-In and Expo this week, Lightspeed Aviation’s president Allan Schrader announced the 12 finalists for the Lightspeed Aviation Foundation Pilot’s Choice Awards. Simply go online to lightspeedaviationfoundation.org to vote for your favorite. The charities with the most votes will receive up to $10,000.
Since the foundation started in 2010, nearly $500,000 has been awarded, Schrader said. With 75,000 votes submitted, eight charities received financial awards last year, and the winner of the $10,000 prize was Pilots N Paws.
