The three-day European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition kicked off Tuesday in Geneva, Switzerland, with more than 500 exhibiting companies and a static display featuring nearly 60 state-of-the-art business aircraft.
Major manufacturers, such as Gulfstream, Pilatus, Dassault, Bombardier and many more, were well-represented at the exhibition. Check out some of the new designs on display below.
Bombardier’s Global 7000 mockup was a popular destination for EBACE attendees. Pia Bergqvist Gulfstream featured miniature models of its extensive high-end business jet offerings. Pia Bergqvist Airbus Helicopters features a virtual reality display for customers to explore the H160 helicopter’s interior, which was announced at the show. Pia Bergqvist Boeing Business Jets was one of several manufacturers that included models with extensive cutouts showing intricate interiors. This BBJ 787 model included functional miniature TVs. Pia Bergqvist Dassault Aviation, which is celebrating its 100th year in business, also offered a peek inside some of its beautifully designed Falcon jets. Pia Bergqvist Airbus Helicopters featured its recently announced H160 medium utility helicopter. Pia Bergqvist Reno, Nevada-based Aerion Corporation showed off a model of its AS2 supersonic jet, which looks fast even mounted on a stick. Pia Bergqvist Textron Aviation focused its EBACE display on the Citation Latitude and Longitude business jets. Pia Bergqvist The static display outside the Palexpo convention center in Geneva was dominated by a BBJ 787-8, the largest airplane to have been on display at any NBAA-sponsored event. Pia Bergqvist Dassault’s Falcon 8X, soon to be certified, was displayed at the entrance of the static display. Pia Bergqvist Pilatus Aircraft featured a PC-12 that highlighted the 75th anniversary, celebrated in 2014, with a scheme of horses and doves designed by famed artist Hans Erni. Pia Bergqvist Bombardier’s exhibit of business jets dominated the center section of the static display. Pia Bergqvist Bombardier’s Global 5000 and 6000 now feature Rockwell Collins’ Venue cabin management system, which visitors could play with inside the airplanes on static display. Pia Bergqvist While Embraer has only been fully committed to the business jet side for a little more than a decade, its display now offers a range of airplanes, from the lighter Phenoms to the ultra-large Lineage 1000. Pia Bergqvist With the protruding air data boom, it was not difficult to identify the Pilatus PC-24, which took a break from its test flight duties to visit the static display on Tuesday.
