Get a closer look at some of the successful missions by Angel Flight South Central.

Passenger RJ and his dad Robert traveling from El Paso to Dallas. At 4 years old, RJ was being treated for cancer at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.
Joceline suffers from Hirschsprung’s disease, and her first Angel Flight was in March 2011. She continues to travel about once every 2 months from southern New Mexico to the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque for regular check-ups.
Pilot Ron Davis flew 10-year-old Nathan and his mom Patricia from Bentonville, Arkansas to Trenton, Missouri. This was the second part of Nathan’s journey from Shreveport, Louisiana, to Rochester, Minnesota, to receive treatment at Oschner’s Medical Center for mitochondrial disease.
Pilots Michael Turner and Sarah Rovner flew Robert and his wife Jacqueline from Denton, Texas, to Houston’s MD Anderson Cancer Center. Robert is battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer called thymic carcinoma.
Deborah traveled with her husband Thomas from Orlando, Florida, to the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She flew about once a month to receive treatment for breast cancer. Pilot Brian Baldwin is one of many pilots who helped her get the care she needed.
Brothers Robert and Sebastian are on their way to an adoption camp in New Mexico, accompanied by their foster mom Bea. Pilot Dan Telfair helps organize flights for orphans to meet potential families.
Harry is a World War II veteran who not only stormed the beaches of Normandy, but also fought and won his second battle with cancer. He traveled about once a month with Angel Flight from Abilene, Texas, to the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston for critical medical care.
Hurricane Katrina destroyed homes and tore apart families. Donna and her husband were relocated from the Superdome in New Orleans to Fort Worth, Texas, but their daughter and a godparent were missing. After three days of searching, Donna was reunited with her daughter. Pilot Robert Maier flew the happy family from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, back to Fort Worth.
Little Miller traveled every other month from Springdale, Arkansas, to San Antonio for craniosynostosis treatments. He was a frequent flyer with Angel Flight South Central for about a year and a half.
When he was only 1 year old, Jordan was diagnosed with brachial plexus and traveled frequently for treatment at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. Pilot Peter Perez was one of many pilots over the course of five years that helped Jordan and his mother Judy make the trek from Wichita, Kansas, to Texas.
Ross traveled weekly with Angel Flight from Lake Charles, Louisiana, to a facility in Houston that treated him for plagiocephaly. He wasn’t even a year old when he took his first airplane ride, but he was a champion traveler.
