The 2004 AirVenture Oshkosh, running from July 27th to August 2nd, is themed "Launching the Next Century of Flight" and focuses on the future of aviation.
A major highlight of the event will be the FAA's Sport Pilot/Light Sport Aircraft Rule, with dedicated activities and a Sport Pilot Center for visitors.
The event features over 500 forums, 700 exhibitors, airshow performances by pilots like Kirby Chambliss, an altitude record attempt by Bruce Bohannon, and a diverse display of aircraft ranging from WWII fighters to modern UAVs.
