The National Business Aviation Association and the Asian Business Aviation Association jointly announced last week they were canceling this year’s Asian Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (ABACE) scheduled for February 11-12. The NBAA, which also co-sponsors international shows in Europe and Latin America, said that, with so many companies facing serious financial times, it believes canceling the show for 2009 is the prudent thing to do “to assist exhibitors and attendees as they work through this difficult period.” For the same reasons, NBAA has also truncated its Light Business Airplane Conference (LBA2009) to two days from three. Now scheduled for March 13-14 in San Diego, the conference is geared to owner-operators of personal aircraft who use them for business.
