Kerrville, Texas-based Mooney Aircraft announced at Sun 'n Fun in Lakeland, Florida, that is expanding its Mooney Factory Service Centers and customer support offerings. The company is working on an hourly cost program for engine service for the two models it currently produces: the Ovation Ultra and Acclaim Ultra. Named PistonPower, the program would allow customers to pay a set hourly cost to cover parts and labor costs for unscheduled and scheduled maintenance, providing customers piece of mind with a predictable cost of operation.

Building on the concept of predictable cost, the company is also continuing its Fill & Fly program, which enables customers of new airplanes to simply pay for fuel for the first three years or 300 hours, whichever comes first. Fill & Fly includes a full warranty on airframe, engine and avionics, and even covers tires, brakes, light bulbs, oil changes and annual inspections. The warranty on the airframe, engine and avionics is covered for three years and 1,000 hours.

Mooney is also helping its customers commit to training by offering a full transition course, with ground, simulator and in-aircraft instruction. Additionally, Mooney provides a $10,000 training voucher for new customers to use on training such as a new rating, endorsement or other desired training.

The company currently has 45 Mooney Service Centers around the world, 39 of which are located in the United States. The Mooney Factory Service Center, collocated with the production facility, has recently expanded its size and capabilities.
