For nearly 90 years, GA pilots have shared their firsthand accounts of harrowing aviation experiences with FLYING and its readers. Those lessons shared in the “I Learned About Flying From That” (ILAFFT) column have helped countless other pilots avoid the same fate and become better, safer pilots in the process.
In recent years, the ILAFFT column grew to include a podcast, which added the extra dimension to the experience through exclusive interviews with pilots sharing their stories. What were the lessons learned? What would they do differently? What are the actions you can apply to your own flying to deal with a similar situation?
