Gulfstream on Wednesday announced the delivery of its first G800 business jet.
The twin-engine aircraft, first announced in late 2021, has the longest range of any business jet flying at 8,200 nm. It was certified by the FAA and European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in April.
Gulfstream did not say who received the jet, but Aviation Week Network identified the customer as pharmaceutical company Pfizer.
“We have seen astounding demand for the G800, and the entire Gulfstream team is excited to begin making deliveries to our customers,” said Gulfstream president Mark Burns. “The G800 is entering service with extraordinary program maturity, just like the Gulfstream G700 before it.”
The G800 can travel 8,200 nm at its long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85 and 7,000 nm at its high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90. During certification, the aircraft’s maximum operating speed was upgraded from Mach 0.925 to 0.935, the same as Gulfstream’s G700.

The jet’s interior features a plasma ionization air purification system and 16 panoramic oval windows. Cabin space can be configured with up to four living areas or three living areas and a dedicated crew compartment.
The G800 will compete with Bombardier’s Global 8000 and Dassault’s Falcon 10X. The Global 8000 is expected to begin service later this year, while the Falcon 10X is scheduled for delivery in 2027.
The aircraft delivered this week was outfitted at Gulfstream’s completions facility in Appleton, Wisconsin. The facility includes a cabin completions center, custom-designed paint hangar, and customer support maintenance, repair, and overhaul wing.
