Located in Warrensburg, Missouri, the University of Central Missouri School of Aviation offers four aviation bachelor’s degree programs and two graduate programs. Students also have the option of adding on a minor or pursuing certificates. UCM’s new Master of Business administration in airport management will be the first degree of its kind in the nation and the only AACSB-accredited program of its kind in the world.

The University of Central Missouri School of Aviation is one of the 40 schools accredited by AABI.

Value

The University of Central Missouri’s base tuition is lower than average for a university of its size. In-state students will pay about $8,500 a year, while out-of-state students will pay about $22,000 a year. This is base tuition and does not include flight expenses.

In addition to base tuition, flight students are responsible for flight costs. Flight costs can total around $55,000 during a four-year undergraduate program. This may vary depending on if flight students need extra training prior to taking check rides.

The university offers institution and aviation scholarships and accepts outside scholarships, including the:

  • Michael E. Bush Memorial Aviation Scholarship
  • Walter Gunn Aviation Scholarship

The school also accepts veteran’s benefits such as the GI Bill.

Fleet and Facilities

UCM owns its own fleet of training aircraft, which includes:

  • Cessna 172s
  • Beechcraft Barons

Graduates of the flight program are eligible for a R-ATP

Campus Life

The University of Central Missouri offers on-campus housing with 13 residential halls from which to choose; these include standard housing, apartment-style living, and Greek housing. UCM also offers many on campus dining options for students.

Sports are available for interested students. Club sports include basketball and football.

UCM has more than 200 student organizations, from those tied to academic programs to ones focused on community service, including:
