The competitor lineup for the National Championship Air Races (NCAR) on September 10-14 at the Roswell Air Center (KROW) in New Mexico has been released.
This is the inaugural event at the new location, located 6 miles south of the city of Roswell. The races had been previously conducted for 60 years in Reno, Nevada.
NCAR officials noted that the state of New Mexico and Roswell spent the better of a year building the infrastructure necessary to support the event and the influx of racers and fans.
“Unveiling our race field is one of the most exciting moments leading up to race week,” said Fred Telling, chairman and CEO of the Reno Air Racing Association (RARA), producers of NCAR. “This lineup showcases the incredible dedication, passion, and spirit of our race teams, and we can’t wait to welcome fans from around the world to Roswell to witness history in the making.”
