Bombardier is set to open a new service center in the Midwest as part of a major U.S. expansion.

In a statement, the Montreal-based manufacturer said it will open a new center at Fort Wayne International Airport (KFWA) in Indiana. The 64,500-square-foot facility will provide a full range of services, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications, avionics installations, and aircraft on ground (AOG) support.

The center’s hangar space will be able to accommodate up to six aircraft at a time, Bombardier said.

“Growing demand from the Midwest made Fort Wayne a natural choice for our newest service center, which will serve as a strategic hub for customers from across the region and beyond,” said Paul Sislian, executive vice president of aftermarket services and strategy at Bombardier. “This facility strengthens our service footprint across the U.S., supports our long-term vision for economic growth and local job creation, and reflects the steadfast commitment of our regional partners.”

Operations are expected to start in the second half of 2026. The company and state officials estimate the center will add around 100 jobs over the next few years.

“Bombardier’s investment in Fort Wayne is a testament to Indiana’s pro-growth environment, skilled workforce, and strong infrastructure,” Indiana Governor Mike Braun said in a statement. “This new facility will create high-wage jobs and boost the regional economy for years to come.”

Bombardier in August announced plans to greatly expand its service network in the U.S., citing increased demand from American customers and the planned introduction of the Global 8000 ultra-long-range business jet later this year. The company said it would grow its footprint in both new and existing markets but did not provide details on potential locations.

Bombardier has service centers in Dallas, Miami, Tucson, Arizona, Hartford, Connecticut, and Wichita, Kansas. It also has a parts distribution center in Chicago and mobile response teams deployed across 20 U.S. locations.
