Cessna's Citation line of jets was named after the 1948 winner of the Kentucky Derby. Cessna has a presence at Louisville International Airport (KSDF) this weekend as more than 600 expected general aviation aircraft arrive for the Run for the Roses at Churchill Downs. After winning the Derby, Citation went on to capture the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes to collect thoroughbred racing's Triple Crown.

Derby attendees arriving via Atlantic Aviation at KSDF can visit the Cessna display, which includes the Citation XLS+ model and a CJ3. Also available for viewing by appointment is a cabin mockup of the developmental Latitude business jet. The new model is expected to have a range of 2,500 nautical miles and "the most open and refined cabin environment in this category of aircraft," according to Cessna.

Also on display at Louisville is Cessna's Mobile Service Unit, a packaged service center that can be set up on the site of gatherings such as the Kentucky Derby and perform service up to and including engine replacement.

The Cessna display opens today and runs through the end of Derby Day, Saturday May 4.
