Program Highlights

The University of Alaska-Anchorage Aviation Technology division is located directly on Merrill Field (KMRI), only minutes from the main campus. Merrill Field is also a PSI testing center.

Value

University of Alaska-Anchorage’s base tuition is high for a university of its size and location. Students will pay about $30,000 a year, which is base tuition and does not include flight expenses.

Students progressing through all ratings from private pilot to certificated flight instructor-instrument can expect to spend between $70,000-80,000 in total fees over the two to four years it takes to finish.

The school offers many scholarships for students to take advantage of, including the:

Fleet and Facilities

The University of Alaska-Anchorage owns its own fleet of training aircraft, which includes:

Campus Life

The University of Alaska-Anchorage offers on-campus housing with five residential halls to choose from, almost all of them with apartment-style living. The school also offers many options for on-campus dining.

Sports are available for interested students, including basketball, hockey, skiing, and more.

The school also has more than 300 clubs and organizations for students, as well as Greek chapters on campus. Clubs include:
