Blue Line Aviation

Located in Smithfield, North Carolina, Blue Line Aviation has a 50,000 square foot headquarters with state-of-the-art facilities to bring the flight school to a new level.

Program Highlights

Blue Line Aviation training facility is located at the Johnston Regional Airport (KJNX) and hosts a professional pilot training center, a maintenance facility, a BBQ restaurant and rooftop terrace, full-motion simulator room, operations center and dispatch, maintenance facility, flight briefing rooms, and administrative offices.

Blue Line’s accelerated career pilot program can progress students from zero hours to 245 logged hours and work as a certified flight instructor in as little as 5 ½ months. Blue Line trains pilots 35 percent faster than other flight schools.

For students looking to pursue an instructor certificate after completing previous ratings elsewhere, Blue Line offers an accelerated 10-day CFI course, a five-day CFII course, and a 15-hour MEI course, all with a 85 percent first-time pass rate.

Value

The all-in flight training cost at Blue Line Aviation is about $90,000. Students who enter the career program with a private pilot certificate in hand will pay approximately $85,000.

The all in flight costs include all flight fees, fuel, written exams, and practical checkrides.

Financing is available for students to pay for flight school. Students who opt to pay cash for training will receive a discount.

Blue Line will work with students who would like to use VA benefits to pay for training.

Fleet and Facilities

Blue Line Aviation owns technologically advanced aircraft featuring modern glass cockpits with G1000 avionics, GFC 700 autopilot, and FADEC-controlled diesel engines for a premium training experience.

The school’s fleet consists of more than 50 aircraft, including:

  • Diamond DA40 NGs
  • Cessna 172s
  • Diamond DA42s

Blue Line also hosts a number of Redbird simulators for students to train on.

The Bottom Line

Blue Line Aviation would be the perfect fit for student pilots looking to be immersed in training from day one. The short, accelerated time frame gives life to a new career in months instead of years.
