AirVenture Oshkosh 2004, held from July 27th to August 2nd, is themed "Launching the Next Century of Flight," focusing on the future of aviation.
A significant highlight of the event is the emphasis on the FAA's Sport Pilot/Light Sport Aircraft Rule, with a dedicated Sport Pilot Center for inquiries and aircraft displays.
Attendees can expect over 500 forums, 700 exhibitors, airshow performances (including an altitude record attempt by Bruce Bohannon), and a diverse display of rare and future-oriented aircraft.
