Musicians Post Malone and Andrew Watt are safe after their Gulfstream IV private jet was on Tuesday forced to make an emergency landing at New York’s Stewart International Airport (SWF). The two celebrities had departed Teterboro Airport approximately mid-morning in New Jersey headed for the United Kingdom, when both of the Gulfstream’s nose wheel tires blew out on takeoff according to CNN. The plane later landed safely at SWF.
Malone commented on Twitter, where he described that some wished that the landing would have had a more tragic outcome. “I landed guys. Thank you for your prayers. Can’t believe how many people wished death on me on this website.”
TMZ released a video of a Malone interview after the landing, in which he described his fear and relief about the incident. “I hate flying in general. I’m shook. You know, I don’t even know what to say man. I’m shook,” Malone also expressed gratitude towards the pilots for landing the plane and keeping everybody safe. “There’s one [heck] of a team on that aircraft. And, we’re here, and we’re here on Earth,” he said.
