Key Takeaways:

The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) is a nonprofit organization operating 79 units across 25 states, dedicated to restoring, maintaining, and flying iconic WWII-era warbirds.
The CAF largely relies on volunteers to preserve these historic aircraft and aims to expose them to a wider American audience.
They achieve their mission by participating in airshows and offering the public opportunities to ride in these pieces of aviation history, such as the planes at their SoCal Wing in Camarillo.
