TBM Convention Draws Big Crowd

Key Takeaways:

TBM fliers from near and far descended on New Orleans recently for Daher Socata’s record-breaking 2014 TBM Owners and Pilots Association convention.

A total of 107 TBM airplanes – nearly ¼ of the entire North American TBM fleet – flew in for the event, raising attendance three percent over last year’s figures. The more than 330 attendees enjoyed educational seminars, vendor exhibits and entertainment during the four-day event.

Daher Socata had a lot to celebrate at the event thanks to the TBM 900’s FAA certification earlier this year. In addition to the 100 TBM 700s and 850s that turned out, a number of the brand new TBM 900s flew in as well.

Next year’s convention is already in the works, with the event planned for October 7-11 in Charleston, South Carolina.
