After years of delays and safety reviews, the FAA on Tuesday granted certification to Boeing’s 737 Max 10, authorizing production and customer deliveries.
Boeing in a news release said the certification clears a path to deliveries of the largest member of the 737 Max family in the coming months. The type’s launch customer is WestJet, which said Tuesday that it anticipates first delivery early next year. Other customers, of which there are more than 30, include United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Alaska Airlines, and Ryanair.
