Every day, the team at Aircraft For Sale chooses an airplane that catches our attention because it is unique, a good deal, or has other qualities we find interesting. You can read Aircraft For Sale: Today’s Top Pick at FLYINGMag.com daily.
Today’s Top Pick is a 2007 Cirrus SR22 G3.
While legacy manufacturers were still refining aluminum designs from the 1960s, Cirrus looked to the future with composite curves, automotive-style interiors, and a ballistic parachute that fundamentally changed the safety conversation in general aviation.
This 2007 model sits at the critical turning point of that evolution—the Generation 3. It was a total airframe refinement featuring a lighter carbon-fiber wing spar, increased fuel capacity, and a taller stance that gives the SR22 its modern, aggressive ramp presence.
Located in Bedford, Massachusetts, this SR22 is a prime example of a well-kept machine. With only 1,370 hours on the airframe since new, it has spent far less time in the air than many of its contemporaries. For the pilot looking for a no-excuses, cross-country tool, the 1,058-pound useful load provides plenty of room for family, luggage, and a full fuel load.
The flight deck has been significantly modernized beyond its original 2007 configuration. While it retains the crisp Avidyne Entegra EX5000 displays, it has been upgraded with the Avidyne IFD-550 and IFD-440 FMS units. These touchscreen navigators bring synthetic vision and wireless ForeFlight integration to the cockpit. Crucially, the aircraft is equipped with the DFC90 digital autopilot, which includes the legendary straight and level button—a safety feature that has become a hallmark of the Cirrus experience.
Beyond the avionics, this GTS package was built for real-world utility. It features factory-installed air conditioning to keep the cabin comfortable during summer operations and a TKS basic ice protection system for added peace of mind during seasonal transitions.

Safety remains the core focus. The Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) rocket and reefing line cutters are not due for replacement until March 2027, and the aircraft comes with a fresh annual inspection completed in September 2025.
Listed at $374,900, this SR22 G3 offers the technology and safety of a modern glass cockpit at a significantly more accessible price point than newer G5 or G6 models. It is a cross-country traveler ready for its next mission.
