Pilots are encouraged to stop after clearing the runway to complete post-landing checklists, but should inform ATC if doing so; non-verbal cues are effective for ensuring passenger silence during ATC communications.
Flying through clouds is not permitted on a contact approach, which requires a mile clear of clouds; however, there's a strong case for allowing WAAS GPS to substitute for localizer guidance, particularly on departures.
Modern EFIS/G1000 systems require specific training for VOR navigation, differing from classic receivers, and pilots should understand that approach chart depictions align to true north, causing visual discrepancies with magnetic courses due to variation.

When landing, the pilot is expected to taxi completely off the runway, whether or not blocking a taxiway. The airplane should be stopped and the post-landing checklist completed before taxing further.
