Cirrus aims to make connected flight more seamless in its SR-series piston aircraft with the introduction of its Flex SR mounting system for the Starlink Mini satellite transceiver. The upgrade provides a high-speed, low-latency Wi-Fi connection in flight.

The upgrade package was designed in-house, specifically for SR models and includes a mounting tray, cable, and everything else needed for installation. The tidy setup places the Starlink unit overhead near the aircraft’s rear window. It also offers the option of using a 100-watt USB-C power outlet, avoiding the added complexity and inconvenience of battery packs.
