The Icon A5 has completed its FAA audit, allowing full production to begin, with the first customer delivery planned for next month at EAA AirVenture.
The aircraft faced development delays due to a significant redesign and a successful request for an FAA weight increase to incorporate safety features like spin resistance and a BRS parachute.
Icon is relocating its factory and offices to Vacaville, California, in August, aiming to deliver 60 airplanes by next year's AirVenture and holding over 1250 customer deposits.
