Key Takeaways:

  • Fractional jet company Jet It ceased operations, leaving owners of its HondaJet fleet responsible for managing their aircraft, often confronting issues like mechanics' liens and the complex logistics of maintenance.
  • Former Jet It owners must rapidly assess their aircraft's status, including airworthiness, insurance, and maintenance records, and understand the HondaJet's phase maintenance program and available service plans.
  • Comprehensive "back to birth" maintenance records are crucial for ensuring an aircraft's value and operational compliance, with some vendors offering free access to digital logbooks to assist displaced owners.
