Enstrom Helicopter Corporation, after declaring Chapter 7 bankruptcy and closing, has been purchased by Chuck Surack, founder of Surack Enterprises and Sweetwater Sound.
Surack acquired Enstrom with the stated goal of rebuilding the brand as a leading American helicopter manufacturer.
This acquisition saves Enstrom after a previous financing deal with MidTex Aviation fell through, integrating it into Surack's existing aviation portfolio which includes Sweet Aviation and Sweet Helicopters.
Initial priorities for the revived company include supporting existing Enstrom owners with parts, with plans to eventually build new and updated helicopter models.
Chuck Surack, the founder of Indiana-based Surack Enterprises, has purchased Enstrom to rebuild the Enstrom brand, or as Surack Enterprises describes it, “one of the leading American-made helicopter manufacturers as it once was.”
