Garmin International Inc. said its TXi Engine Indication System, or EIS, is now available for certain Beechcraft King Air 200 aircraft. The upgrade gives the planes new features including wireless data logging, exceedance recordings and engine timers, and is designed to decrease the workload for pilots, improve engine efficiency and cut maintenance costs.
The unit of Garmin Ltd. said certification of the system for the King Air 200 adds to its “portfolio of EIS solutions” that includes stand-alone options like the GI275 EIS for single-engine piston aircraft to the latest versions for turbine twins.
