Full-time autothrottle system is the first available in a midsize business jet.
- November 23, 2008Thanks to aviation medical research serendipity, the ZonaPlus hand exercise device can lower your blood pressure without need of prescription medicine and, of course, with no requirement to report any therapy on your pilot medical application. The device has been demonstrated to work in a number of clinical trials lowering the systolic -- the top number -- of user's blood pressure by 14 to 25 points on average after six weeks of use. The benefits, in the trials, were sustained as long as the exercise routine was continued.Be the first to rate this content

- September 3, 2008Rosen, the company that makes transparent visors for all major business jet models, has introduced its Sunvisor System for the Cessna 350/400 singles. The darkly tinted visor panels are mounted on articulating arms designed exclusively for the 350/400 so they can be positioned exactly between the pilot's eyes and the sun. The visor lens is approximately 9 by 13 inches, though it is uniquely shaped to fit the 350/400 cockpit and window shape. The Sunvisor is approved for installation under an STC. - September 2, 2008Serengeti sunglasses pioneered photochromatic lenses that use energy in sunlight to darken as the light brightens, and the glasses have been popular with pilots and drivers. I have flown with a pair of Serengeti glasses for at least 15 years and like the variable darkness of the lens, and the sharp contrast the lenses provide in high glare conditions, particularly on bright hazy days or when flying in or near the tops of clouds. But, until recently, Serengeti styles have taken a backseat to optical performance.Be the first to rate this content
