Every day, the team at Aircraft For Sale chooses an airplane that catches our attention because it is unique, a good deal, or has other qualities we find interesting. You can read Aircraft For Sale: Today’s Top Pick at FLYINGMag.com daily.
Today’s Top Pick is a 1975 Beechcraft Baron B55.
This Baron utilizes Colemill-converted IO-550E engines, delivering 300 hp each for added climb and cruise performance. With 648 and 257 hours since new on the left and right engines, respectively, they have a long way to go before reaching TBO.
Total airframe time sits at 2,725 hours. The airplane remains hangared and has complete logbooks with excellent maintenance reported. The most recent annual is valid through November 1, 2025, and IFR certification runs through August 2026.
Avionics are well equipped for modern IFR operations. Dual Garmin GNS 530W units offer WAAS navigation and are backed by a Garmin 330ES transponder with ADS-B Out. Garmin GDL-69 XM weather and a Garmin traffic system provide situational awareness, while a Strikefinder helps with weather avoidance. A Century IV autopilot, coupled to a King 55A HSI with altitude hold and glideslope capability, gives capable hands-off flying.
