For more than five decades, The Aviation Consumer has been the undisputed authority for pilots and prospective buyers looking to receive an expert opinion on everything from avionics and accessories, all the way to specific aircraft evaluations.
The Aviation Consumer team is dedicated to providing the same invaluable expertise that it has for years to the next generation of aviators. As part of those plans, The Aviation Consumer is launching a new digital subscription plan, marking a new era for the storied publication.

In October, following stops at The Wall Street Journal and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), veteran journalist Jonathan Welsh joined The Aviation Consumer as lead editor to oversee the publication’s transition to a digital-only platform. The Aviation Consumer digital subscription is the next phase of that transition.
Central to The Aviation Consumer’s identity is offering impartial information to readers that allows them to make the most informed decision possible when purchasing a new piece of equipment or aircraft on the market. In order to continue toward those aims and deliver content without bias, it remains crucial that The Aviation Consumer accept no money from advertisers, as it has done since the beginning.
Beginning soon, a subscription to The Aviation Consumer will give readers access to the full suite of coverage at AviationConsumer.com, including the essential “Used Aircraft Guide” archive.
Subscriptions will be available for $40 annually or $3.99 per month.
