Test flight crews for Stratolaunch’s Roc shortened their mission Thursday after a malfunctioning sensor near the airplane’s left elevator on the left fuselage.

Stratolaunch, operator of the world’s largest airplane, has unveiled a separation vehicle test article which will be used to demonstrate the massive aircraft’s air-to-launch capabilities.

Stratolaunch’s Roc, the world’s largest airplane, made its fourth test flight Thursday over California’s Mojave Air and Space Port with a mission of fully operating all landing gear in flight for the first time.
