Using a Boeing 737 MAX 10 and a NASA DC-8, the group will monitor and record emission data from the 737 using SAF and traditional jet fuel in flight. 

World Fuel Services will supply 16,000 gallons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to KLAS in advance of the show.

The flight demonstrated that Rolls-Royce engines can operate on 100 percent SAF as a “drop-in” option, the manufacturer said.

Boom Supersonic announced it is collaborating with industry partners to develop a new propulsion system for its Overture supersonic airliner.

The company said that this marked the first time SAF was delivered into LAXFUEL using barges, making way for more large scale deliveries to be made at the airport.
