Elevate, an educational initiative from Amazon Prime Air, DroneDeploy, and other partners, aims to train a new generation of Part 107 remote pilots.

With the passage of the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024 in the U.S. House of Representatives this week, the bill is a signature away from becoming law.

The agency began discretionary enforcement of remote ID compliance in September, but all drone pilots now face penalties for violating the rule.

‘If you’re looking for the code to the front door of the next generation of aviation, here it is,’ FAA chief Billy Nolen said.
