Key Takeaways:

  • Cirrus Aircraft's "Mission Ready" is a new simulator-based training and safety program for SR owners, integrated into the Cirrus Approach pilot training curriculum.
  • The program offers 24 realistic cross-country flight scenarios (VFR/IFR) using advanced simulators, designed to immerse pilots in complex, high-stress emergency situations and cascading failures not safely replicable in a real aircraft.
  • Mission Ready aims to enhance continuous pilot proficiency and decision-making by pushing pilots beyond their comfort zones, freeing instructors to focus on guidance and in-depth debriefing to identify and address skill gaps.

For the last two decades, Cirrus Aircraft has been at the forefront of bringing new technology to the cockpit. One of its latest offerings is Mission Ready—a training and safety program specifically for SR owners to experience in a flight simulator environment.

The program, launched in March, lives within the manufacturer’s official pilot training curriculum, Cirrus Approach. This library of real-world flight training sessions paired with video learning takes a Cirrus pilot from their first flight all the way through their pilot’s certificate and instrument rating.
