Music executive and aviation enthusiast Dave Shapiro has been identified as the owner of a private aircraft that crashed in a San Diego neighborhood on Thursday.
All six people aboard the Cessna Citation 550, including Shapiro and two of his employees, were killed in the crash during an attempted landing in heavy fog near Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport.
Shapiro was a prominent music executive, an experienced pilot with over 15 years of flight experience, and the owner of Velocity Aviation, an aviation flight school and ferry flight business.

An Associated Press report cited the music agency Sound Talent Group, which confirmed Shapiro, 42, died in the crash along with two employees.
