Leaders in business aviation are gearing up for the most important industry event of the year, the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition, which kicks off Tuesday.

Organizers expect about 27,000 industry professionals to attend the three-day conference in Orlando, Florida. As always, presentations and seminars will be given on the state of the industry, safety, maintenance, careers and more. And about 100 business aircraft will be on static display for attendees “to make side-by-side comparisons of aircraft capabilities and technology,” said NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen.

Notable speakers at NBAA-BACE include Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Gil Kerlikowske, who will be the featured speaker at the opening general session, and David McCullough, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Wright Brothers.

NBAA will also present awards to a number of leaders in the business aviation industry.

Business aircraft on display will include top manufacturers such as Gulfstream, Embraer, Dassault, Bombardier, Cessna, Pilatus and many more.

Attendees are encouraged to download the NBAA Events mobile app to help plan and navigate the many exhibits and special events. The app also lets users network with others at the convention in real time.

Online registration is still open for the event, which will be held November 1-3 at the Orange County Convention Center, at nbaa.org/events/bace/2016/registration.
