Gogo Launches Lower Cost Inflight Connectivity Option

Avance L3 system is tailored to turboprops and light jets.

Gogo Business Aviation introduced Gogo Avance L3, a new inflight connectivity system tailored to the need of passengers and flight departments flying smaller business aircraft and offering “the most affordable pricing options” in business aviation.

Gogo says its technology platform lets users customize their inflight experience based on their needs, and can be installed on business aircraft of all types and sizes, but is an ideal solution for smaller aircraft including turboprops and light jets.

The Gogo Avance platform integrates a range of so-called Smart Cabin features, allowing passengers to connect via data or voice and access maps entertainment and cabin management system (CMS) services. The Avance L3 system includes a built-in smart router allowing flight departments to control and manage the number of devices they allow to connect, which can scale up or down as needs change.

Using Avance L3, anyone onboard the aircraft can connect to email, send text messages and make voice calls with Gogo Text & Talk (service plan required); access flight apps such as moving maps, weather and flight information; or watch movies and TV shows through Gogo Vision (service plan required). For customers looking for full internet connectivity, Avance L3 can be enabled to connect to the Gogo Biz data network delivering 3G connectivity speeds.

The Avance L3 system is priced at $40,000 plus the cost of installation.
