Located in Flushing, New York, Vaughn College offers three aviation associate degree programs, four bachelor’s programs, and five certificate options. Vaughn College’s flight students will conduct their training at Vaughn’s contract partner, Heritage Flight Academy. It’s located at MacArthur Airport (KLSP) on Long Island.

Vaughn College works directly with JetBlue through the JetBlue Pilot Gateway Program. Students can earn a conditional job offer for a position as a first officer at JetBlue. Vaughn also hosts a number of flight simulators for students to utilize.

Vaughn Aviation students can take advantage of many internships offered by Vaughn and their partners, which include:

  • United Airlines
  • Textron Aviation

Vaughn’s aircraft operations and aeronautical sciences bachelor’s degrees are accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI).

Value

Vaughn College’s base tuition is on the higher side for a university of their size. Students will pay about $24,000 a year for base tuition (not including flying expenses). Since the school is located in New York City, this is expected.

Over the course of flight training at Vaughn’s flight partner, Heritage Flight Academy, students will progress through a multiengine instructor. They’ll be billed about $71,000 for the whole program.

Vaughn College offers many institution scholarships for students to take advantage of. The school also accepts outside scholarships, including the:

Fleet and Facilities

A $1 million dollar flight simulator lab features a fleet of training devices and provides an exciting learning experience with industry-trained faculty.

Graduates of Vaughn College’s flight program will be eligible for a R-ATP.

Campus Life

Vaughn College offers on-campus housing in the heart of Manhattan. Their apartment-style dorms allow for big-city living within a small community.

Vaughn College currently supports about 20 active clubs and organizations, including:
