Cirrus on Tuesday debuted its updated G3 Vision Jet, which features redesigned cabin elements, additional seating, and flight deck enhancements.

Cirrus officials said the new model includes over 30 refinements meant to improve comfort, operations, and safety. Among them is the addition of a third-row bench seat that expands the Vision Jet’s capacity to seven people—six adults and one child.

The seats have been made more ergonomic and comfortable, the manufacturer said, with improved support for the headrest, armrests, and knee area. Other cabin upgrades include newly designed tray tables and personal device mounts.

On the flight deck, Cirrus added several features to its Garmin-based Perspective Touch+ system. These include ATC Datalink for text-based communication with air traffic controllers, automatic database updates, alerts-linked checklists, and improved surface mapping with 3D SafeTaxi.

Additionally, the G3’s Spectra wingtip and landing lights are 2.7 times brighter, Cirrus said.

The aircraft continues to include the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) and Safe Return emergency autoland capability.

“The G3 Vision Jet is a testament to our relentless innovation, continued investment in personal aviation, and our owners who want to travel efficiently with award-winning safety features, the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) and Safe Return Emergency Autoland, for peace of mind,” Cirrus CEO Zean Nielsen said in a news release.

According to the company, over 700 Vision Jets have been delivered worldwide since the aircraft’s certification.
